Steve McLaughlin Running For Rensselaer County Executive

Due to Kathleen Jimino not seeking re-election, Steve is running for the position. He is one of the few guys I have been following over the years who actually has principle.

I love that guy, but how would this affect things? Isn't it more important to have him in the assembly or is County Executive a better position?

This is disappointing news I think. I want Steve to run for Governor in 2018. Even though he wouldn't run for Governor, I still feel like he does more for all of NY being in the Assembly then as a County Exec.

Last time I spoke with him he said he didn't see running for governor. Too much of an uphill battle. That was a few years ago though.

That's really too bad, he is the one and only voice of reason in the Assembly.

He is powerless in the Assembly. Must be tough going to work everyday knowing you can't get anything done. At least as County Exec he can accomplish things.
