Stoeger Uplander

Anyone else have one? I just bought one. It's the field model with the double triggers (I'm not a fan of the single trigger) in 12 gauge with 28" barrels. I already own a Stoeger Coach gun in 12 gauge and have loved it. The only issue I have ever had with the Coach gun was that it would lock up when using Winchester Universal rounds, like the Walmart bulk packs. It would fire the rounds but you couldn't get the action to break. I would have to disassemble the gun to get the rounds out.
In any case, I traded my Winchester model 1200 towards it. I wanted a SxS for tray shooting. The Uplander comes with IC and M removable chokes. I have a Carlson Full choke on order. I figure to swap out the IC and move the M over to the right barrel and put the Full in the left barrel. Haven't had a chance to take it out and fire it. There is just something about a SxS shotgun.

I got a Stoeger double defense in 12ga, its fun to shoot, but after the third or fourth shot, it gets a little brutal. I got a buddy that had a Stoeger pump, it blew up. no one seems to know why. barrels were not plugged or anything, it just scattered, fortunately, no one got hurt.

Yikes!! That's disconcerting. Glad no one was hurt though. Before I had the Coach gun in 12, I had it in 20 gauge. This would be going back to the early 90's. I traded in my 20 for the same gun in 12 a few years ago and the difference in quality (at least the fit and finish) was night and day. They have seemed to improve in quality.
