Students love to protest.

In Iran, Hong Kong, etc they protest oppression under threat of death.

In the US they don't have anything meaningful to protest, so they pick BS, or actually try to create oppression, under threat of being called by the wrong pronoun.

We need *more* risk here in the US, yet we are obsessed with eliminating it. People who aren't willing to take risks are upset that those who are will gain an advantage, so they work to prevent anyone from doing it.

I remember Iranian students protesting on campus of City College of NY. This was in 1979. All looked western, girls in skirts above the knee. They chanted "Shah get out from Iran, CIA get out from Iran, Shut the fascist system down". Then came embassy take over in Tehran and they kept a low profile. Lots of water under the bridge.

Sounds like most modern college students.

They have no idea what they're really protesting for.

They *think* they want to get rid of capitalism, but they have no idea the hell that would come if they got their way.

Just like those Iranian students in the 70's. They hate western civilization, right up until they're getting flogged in a public square because their burka showed a little ankle.
