Agree completely that its a states right issue. Not sure if SCOTUS justices had anything to do with it or if this is even legitimate information. Yeah color me jaded but can't help but think this so-called leak is yet another long planned distraction purposefully released by deep state grasping for last vestiges of power ahead of the mid term elections. Yeah I hope it causes chaos. And gives well meaning Patriots the kick in the ass to stand up and right the course.

I have always been pro life. But the battle cry "my body my choice" used by the pro choice side resonated strongly with me. So much so, it often made me re examine my thoughts on the subject.
Then covid became a thing, and then the so called vaccine.
Then many Americans including myself said no, I will not get vaccinated, "my body my choice."
And "they" said, fuck you, not in your case.
So fuck them hypocrites. I hope their heads explode!

Like I say to most when this topic comes up, read Roe v Wade. To come to a decision without is ignorant and purely based on feelings. Also, checkout the courts political make up back then and how many justices voted, some of you will be shocked.
I made my daughters read it. Nothing pissing me off more than someone arguing a SCOTUS case without reading it.
I will say this, abortion isn't mentioned in the constitution and when the case was heard, both parties agreed "fetal life" was in the balance. It also argue 14th amendment issues for comparison. But I never saw a connection. Today that ruling has taking on a whole new meaning and most people have opinions derived from personal feelings arguing their feelings as fact. lol
The argument back then was could states create law banning abortion. Obviously the answer is yes. Would the state representatives survive the next election cycle? That would depend on the state. Like the constitution, I believe in states rights. It's the very reason we are called the United States and not France, England,.......ect. lol
Our republic is one of states rights and peoples natural rights.
As for the leak and its intended purpose, well we will just have to see how it is spun. I'm sure it will be entertaining and let's see who is on TV crying. lol

I was thinking the same thing. They're quick to react and don't want to follow due process when it suits them. I expect to run into a flood of tears this morning when I go to work.
I've suggested multiple times a "compromise" solution.
In the end it is always "my body my choice" on one side and "God has spoken" on the other. Both sides refuse to sit down and talk, and both sides have become militant over this issue.
This will galvanize the left into riots and immense voter turn out this November. There are a LOT of Americans who usually sit on the fence politically. This could drive them to voting Democrat. This will also set the stage for more egregious gun laws. And don't think the vaunted Supreme Court is finally taking notice of the Constitution. This is being done for political reasons. They could still vote against the 2nd, and are most likely being pressured to do so.
And, for the right who think "this is God's work" and are happy to have their religion foisted off on the masses: The .gov is just looking for a reason to start taxing the billions of dollars the "church" brings in, and to start invading the autonomy the "church" currently enjoys.
Since the "church" won't stay out of politics, politics will now have an in-road into the "church".

The whole issue is a hot button that would be better off left alone, its chaos either way the pendulum swings. I’m pro life but think it’s a fair system the way it’s set up and as long as the rules are followed. I do not agree with late term abortion, federal, state or local funding of abortion or under 18 years of age getting it without parents consent.

Nah... The decision was coming out anyway, and this isn't the final decision anyways either. Who knows, maybe the SCOTUS will suspend a decision now (unprecedented) based upon the leak. Maybe stop all action until the leaker is discovered and removed!

I have never understood the argument there can be a compromise. On this topic there can't. Period. The arguments on either side are diametrically opposed and wrapped in moral rightousness.
The only solution is to allow this debate to be made at an individual state level with legislation. If the state abolishes abortion and the citizens don't like it they can replace the legislators with ones that favor it.
This entire problem is due to the cowardice of legislators at all levels of government. They don't want to be held accountable for their actions. They are happy to let a court make decisions that they can criticize for campaign purposes.
Well, the instant secondary market for the morning after pill will take off. People will stock up and keep those handy for sure.
Besides, greyhound travel to the next State over isn't a big deal. Oh wait, will we begin the narrative of what demographics will be impacted the most by this ruling? Because you know, you're free to travel to a State that embraces those laws that resonate with your core beliefs. But those who are stuck in their station won't be able to do that, so this ruling at some point will be labeled a product of the systemic racism (supposed) that is prevalent in our country!
