exactly, the SCOTUS will never take this case. the 2020 election is a done deal, there are other avenues to address this egregious miscarriage of justice, But the country will need patients.

One of the excuses the .gov used to get it dismissed initially was that the 11th Amendment protects the congress-critters from being sued.

Looking at the 11th Amendment, it would appear, to me, that it only protects STATES from being sued by someone who does not reside in that State. It says nothing about congress-critters, brain-dead-prez, ho-vice-prez being protected for behavior that is clearly outside their official duties (since what they were doing was against the Constitution in the first place).
