Supreme Court will hear New York gun rights case on transporting unloaded handguns

The law is so specific and odious that it only applies to NYC. I fear that's the only place this gets struck or has any impact (though I would cheer it as a victory for our brothers and sisters in the 5 boroughs).

If they rule against administrative restrictions would that not do away with hunting/target as well? Would it not affect the whole state so judges cannot restrict permits?

It depends on the wording of SCOTUS ruling when it comes down.
