An off duty cop fatally shot and killed an unarmed handyman, who was in possession of a commonly owned tool of his trade, an ordinary screwdriver. The repairman was trying to convince the cop that he had the cop's best interests at heart. He was murdered after he had attempted to gain entry into a residence, this writer presumes, to make repairs to the door's locks. He was working on his GED, was a peaceful protester and activist working to improve the collective lives of his former associates from the department of corrections.
