I would not shoot someone running away with my stereo and I would not think any decent human would do that neither, it is not worthy,
but if at any time one feels threatened in her/his own own home you have a right to do whatever it takes to take defensive action.
Criminals know they are breaking the law but not only that, they know they are taking a huge risk when threatening anyone willingly
or unwillingly.
You don't even have to actually attack someone physically for that person to fear for their lives like for example a victim of previous abuse
or rape or a mother with children in their home.
It is a natural instinct and totally understandable in the natural world.
God save us from being in that situation where we have to decide if to shoot or not. Ideally not but one never knows.
I also hope people with a firearm gets some good training not just in firearms but in moral judgement and they are not the type who
are looking for or eagerer to pull the trigger first chance they get.
Like some people taking "the law" into their own hands instead calling the police first thing.
