A good guy with a gun is exactly why we're not hearing any more talk about this in the media. It barely made one full news cycle and then the story went away.

Not to mention that it came out that the USAF screwed the pooch by not properly reporting his misconduct and discharge. It doesn't fit the narrative, and proves that the system is broken, so they can't ride it to push for more laws.
