That New Building is nice! which will make it expensive and difficult to rent.
If this Show is another failure, we're done with Shows.

Well, with this states draconian firearm and ammo laws it’s Never going to be like it used to be.
I miss the Syracuse gun show. Fayetteville has one every other month in the crown coliseum, it is tiny compared to Syracuse. Always liked walking around talking to a few vendors and seeing if I could find something I could not live without. The only reason to go to the ones down here is to talk to a coup,e of vendors and get gunpowder.

I always liked the show in Old Forge. Stupid small compared to the state fair show but we always made a nice weekend of it.
I really like the small Shows where it's mostly one hobbyist selling his shit so he can buy someone else's...Parts, projects, stuff not used anymore, getting out of the game, etc.
There was one up in Brasher this weekend that I'd like to have gone to, but it's two hours and the weather absolutely sucked, so I missed it.

Good morning to my upstate Brothers. I have a few questions about the Syracuse gun show. Is it worth driving there from Long Island? I realize that I would have to stay overnight. Is concealed carry allowed? I like revolvers, target pistols and reloading. Thanks.

Syracuse is a shithole, but it's by far the biggest and best show I've been to. Not sure how the show will be in the downgraded building they've forced the show into. I'm thinking colder, shitty lighting, and no restaurant, no booze with no seating like the old show. But if you like guns and accessories give it a go.
It's one of if not the largest Gun Show in NYS: That said, I wouldn't be that enthusiastic about a five hour ride and having to pass through NYC...If I were on LI, I'd go to one of the big Shows in PA or MA and as for handguns, you're not going to be able to take possession of one at the Show unless you've got a FFL or Purchase Coupon issues in advance (some Counties will issue one, I doubt LI would do that)
T&T in Seaford has a Show this weekend: a search on the forum should give you a few details.

Actually the Cattle Building is larger than the Center of Progress Building by 30,000 sq ft.
They advertise it as "1,000 Tables" which might be, but I don't think they'll fill that many....I hope so, and yet still skeptical.

I'm going, Hopefully it has a good vendor turnout. With all the BS laws here it's a wonder anyone goes at all, Dealers and Customers. Hope that there are mostly firearms, accessories, and ammo; and not too much other crap non gun related.

The OP could always come up early and make a weekend out of it. The Home & Garden show is going on that same weekend in another bldg. on the grounds.

They keep renaming all the buildings out there. It's in the building that they use for dairy cattle, not the beef barn. The one I always called the dairy building is called the Science and Industry Building now. The Dairy Cattle Building is now called the Exhibit Center. The new building is the Exposition Center.

I don't mean to act like a pussy,,,but I'm not a cow and I like more human comfort features that were found in the Center of Progress Building. I liked that we had a buffet with cold beverages and seats to take a breather.
I contacted Marc Loveland about Heat in the Building and he indicated it is heated...I don't think being too hot will be an issue.
I'm still waiting on the NYSP to set me up for ammo BGC's as the FFL I'm with doesn't want to waste time on ammo sales: if they approve me in time then I'll bring some surplus Military and Metric calibers.
FWIW: As I understand it People with FFL's (not specific as to which one) are exempt from the Check: If someone shows me a copy of their 03 for ammo, I'm going to accept it with a smile.

Why you big freakin baby . ..LoL, what the hell are you talking about? What does a cow have to do with anything? When was the last time that you were at the fair ? It’s not going to be in the Cattle/ livestock bldg. The dairy bldg. is actually quite nice inside. It’s where the have the butter sculpture every year . It’s the place everyone flocks to to get ice cold glasses of choc., strawberry or white milk for a quarter. The new flyer that I saw on line didn’t specify say anything about food and beverages but from what I can recall, the last time that I was there several years ago there were a couple of areas in there where food can be prepared and served.
