Been living in the Cuse since “76” have seen this kind of shit every year. The ethnic community leaders will come out and wail and moan and scream at the sky “no more”, “what can we do”. This of course is useless cuz we all all know by now that the only thing that will stop the shooting for awhile is slush. Slush season is when the bangers stay inside so they don’t get salt stains on “dem Tims”.

Same here. Except for a couple of years up north and a stint in the Army I’ve lived it the area all of my life. Seems like the gang activity has ramped up this year more than others. Unfortunately they breed faster than they can kill each other.
Put this together with the murders at Chili's in Dewitt, and it's just more evidence why living in the 'Cuse is not a good decision.
Even before I left Eastwood in 2011 I ALWAYS carried my snubby, even when mowing the lawn or taking out the trash. Had to run off 4 hood-rats who were beating the shit out of some black kid who was just walking down the street. That escalated into some white skank getting in my face, telling me it "wasn't my 'hood". Wrong!!!!!
Dimed her out to 5-0 AFTER I followed her down the street to get her address.

That's why when I got divorced recently, I "gave" my ex the house in Eastwood. 4 blocks away is James Street, infested with bangers, dope, hookers, etc. The house will soon be worth virtually nothing, and I wanted no part of it.

Shooting to wound, or really stupid shit like trying to shoot a gun out of a perp's hands, leads to collateral damage. IIRC, this happened somewhere in NYS once.
