Syracuse sues ATF over “ghost guns”

Anyone with a CNC milling machine can basically make a receiver. You can't say that people who follow the law should be banned from having something because criminals know how to use tools to make guns (shocker!). Guess we live in a modern age where you can't block the flow of fucking information.

Yup. Frankly, that and 3D printing will be the ultimate leapfrog past gun laws. Cody Wilson of Defense Distributed makes a great case for that.

Hahaha I love it.

They said in 2019 23 "ghost guns" were recovered in the COUNTY.

They say they have recovered 25 so far in 2020 in the COUNTY.

Syracuse is in Onondaga County (as most/all of us know)

Onondaga County has a population of........ 461,845 people.... almost half a million

As a 44 year resident of the City of Syracuse I take offense to your suggestion that “the Southside”is the problem. The stately homes from the time of the Erie Canal and Industrial Age are no more at fault than a gun used in a crime. The problem is with the fucking people that live there. Did I say that out loud??

In the four decades that I have lived here I have personally known four people who have been murdered and a bank robber. A friend ambushed then shot and killed by his wife’s jealous boy friend, a coworker, openly gay, that was beaten and set ablaze in the trunk of his car and two of my former students that were shot and killed during gang related activities. The bank robber was a veteran in my outreach program that was crying for help.

Nothing has change during all these years. An outrage occurs and the community leaders gather to flap their arms, hold a vigil, light a few candles and leave the stubs on the sidewalk until the next time.

The people that live in the area called the Southside are largely single parents, welfare recipients , high school drop outs and gang members. Starting to sound familiar yet?

So Pothole Ben is going to try to fix this by suing the ATF :ROFL: instead of addressing the problem directly. I don’t mean to imply I have a solution. I don’t, neither do the community leaders. Which continues to give them what they want a permanent underclass of needy victims. Go check the stats Syracuse ranks in the top ten of most violent crime ridden cities of its size in the nation. Much of this came about under Democrat leadership. Sound familiar yet? So blame it on the guns. Sound familiar yet?

Pothole Ben is running for reelection and will probably win after all he is Walsh. But nothing will change on the Southside.

I mean i would put money on it that 99% if not all 23/25 guns recovered where handguns..
Polymer 80 glock can be done with just a Dremel in like maybe an hour.

I've seen them done with a pair of clippers (similar to pliers) and a hand file and still only took like an hour

It's called a scapegoat. It's much easier and cheaper to blame an object than to address the problem.

Virtually every day for as long as I can remember there is a shooting in the news on the South Side. 60 years worth. Every time I've heard about one I've thought the same thing- the NYS PP system is a bad joke.

They don't want to fix the problem. It keeps them in business.

“Pothole Ben” haha , that’s funny . Little Benny got elected riding the coat tails of his family name. He’ll most likely get re-elected for the that very same reason. Political substance isn’t a requirement in this town. It hasn’t been for a Very long time.
Gangbangers on the south side of Syracuse have been a problem since the days of mayor Lee Alexander . Unfortunately the city fathers refused to acknowledge the problem until just a few short years ago. The current city fathers continue to down play the severity of the problem because they have not the Balls nor the brains to come up with a viable solution.

To be fair, Syracuse is not suing the ATF on their own. Mayor Walsh is joining a gaggle/ murder/ herd of mayors who don't want to or know what to do to fix the cultural problem.
Puppies pee on the rug, birds shit on your freshly washed car , hood rats do hood rat shit.

For a group of people that the Dems say are too stupid or poor to get an ID, how can they afford to purchase a 80% Glock kit / lower & jig or pay a white kid to do the milling of the receivers?
