Thank you 96.
We just got home here, it is 7.30pm.
We had a great time up there. The spot we went to is back in the woods about 4 miles. One car went by with a couple of in 8i inner tubes tied to the top of their car to float the little river back in there.
My grandson did good shooting the revolvers and his little Savage 22lr Rascle rifle. He was getting real close to some coke cans full of water and he'd hit them in three or four shots with the revolvers. His Rascle was one shot, one kill. The cans were set up out about twenty yards.
We were shooting at rocks on that far sand bank with the 357 magnum revolvers. I took my 6" GP100, the Smith 686, my Rossi 972 with the compensator and the Ruger Single-Six with the 22lr cylinder.
I took a six pack of coke on ice and I always stop on the way home and let him choose some type of ice cream.
I picked up a partial bucket of steel bullet cases and a partial bucket of old shotgun hulls to clean up the place a little.
This pit is on DR land so you need a Discover Pass, $30 or $35 a year. They have a sign there that explains the do' s and don't. Look what these ads hole people did to the signs.
This glacier is on the mountain right across the narrow valley where we were shooting today. It stays all year, we shoot on top of that mountain about six miles on the other side of the glacier. There is a big cliff back in there and we shoot on the top of it. The road winds up there.
Enjoy the pictures.
The air is nice and clean up there, it is cooler, the creeks, streams and rivers are really nice. We will start fishing for brook trout up there when we start staying up there over night.
