Target Sports Announces Priority Purchasing For Prime

Well, I've liked Target Sports and I understand it makes sense for them.
But...
I never liked the "fast pass" line for anything, especially because those who use it can pay! While all the regular slobs are left outside with their noses pressed against the window looking in!... What usually happens too is unless limited, these membership services get saturated and thereby become useless. Then they add "Elite Prime"... Etc.
Trust me, I get it... But I don't like it, never have, never will. $95 is nothing in the scheme of things, it's the principle! Lol

Just saying, I got two emails from them the other day. One from marketing saying that I should sign up as a prime member since prime members gobbled up their last batch of the 9mm. The other was from sales providing the tracking number for delivery today for my the unobtainable 9mm (and some others that I also bought after the timer timed out). I didn't get a prime membership before because if most purchases are free shipping cases, you need more than several onesie-twosie tiny box orders to break even. Hell, I never joined Cotsco either, but know many who will throw a 5 pound box of Cheerios to their order for me.

I haven’t been able to buy ammo there since March. I’ve been considering letting my Prime membership lapse. This is probably an attempt to retain prime subscribers.

I just got an email that mine renews in a few days. Not sure what to do. Maybe hold off until things are back in stock.
I just made the same decision. When stuff comes back in stock then I’ll re-up. I usually buy a case at a time and save shipping. Prime pays off if you’re not a reloaded and you want to buy many diff brands weights to determine what your firearm likes. Get a few cents discount per round and free shipping.

I am going to write them an email soon. While they are under no obligation whatsoever, I'm going to request an extension of membership or refund. I bought right, about 1 week, before COVID was invented. Can't use the benefit if there is NOTHING in stock anybody wants.
Keep us posted. I cancelled my renewal but if it works for you I will reach out to them before I sign back up in the future and see if they'll offer me anything.

I ordered a 5000 rounds of 22lr and 1000 rounds of 223 right before the lock. I should have ordered done cases of 9mm. I ended up getting a Lee loadmaster because I have no other reliable

I auto renew each year, whether I buy ammo or not. They still ship to my door and I'd like to think thats a big "fuck you" to Andrew and his merry band of assholes.

I did the math when I joined prime.
If you usually order case quantities, you need to spend about $1200/yr on ammo to break even on prime IIRC.

The free shipping is what makes Prime worth it. You can order 1-2 boxes of different brands (when in stock...) to try out. I ordered two more boxes of HST on Wednesday (only 9mm they had in stock this week it seems..), expected to be delivered today.

I consider the free shipping a perk and it's the 8% discount I pay for.
But I usually order everything in case quantities so I would get free shipping from them even without prime.

I’m probably guilty of spending at least $1500 a year on ammo. But, the ability to save shipping just a handful of boxes at time is the main reason I subscribed. I hate getting a case of ammo just to figure out that I hate it.

I have heard of some to piggyback on a shooting buddy's order and even get a box that they thought their buddy would like to try.
I have taken a road trip to TSUSA's brick and mortar leo store, one of us needs a CT ammo card which is easy to get. Good time to buy a single box and there is a good collection of gear, with something always on sale (knives, lights, carriers, prepper gear, etc)
