Target stands

My range is no longer supplying target stands due to members destroying them (due to carelessness or just poor marksmanship) I’m totally fine with their decision. Any suggestions for a target stand. I need something small enough to easily take to the range in my car, but big enough to hold a full size SR target (40x42)

It’s holding up well thus far. I really like the compact size. You do need to having furring strips to go with it. I’m sure someone will come along bitching about the price. Yes, we could fab it ourselves, but my time is worth much more than that cost.

We made a ghetto version of the one linked above using PVC. We use cheap during strips for the uprights. We connect the cardboard to the uprights using binder clips.

I've shot three coyotes and one deer, countless little critters from my bedroom. the sliding door looks out over the creek flats..

the range here just put up 2 rebar posts and some chicken wire between them and some clothes pins .. because of the same reason .. some just can't shoot and shoot up the nice wooden stands ..

I have 3 of these. If not the exact same they are essentially identical to the ones I purchased. I go to lowes once a year and buy a bunch of new furring strips and cut them to 6' heights. They work fine. I even bought some large size spikes and have driven them into the holes in the base when the wind at the range was a bit strong and knocked the targets over.

There may be cheaper alternatives out there but these are quite good. You will have them for the rest of your life.

Gong Stand Brackets
A pair of above a 2x4 and 4 lengths of 3/4 inch conduit how ever long you need to make them. Will be an easily transportable stand for you to use. Then you will need to use some cardboard or corrugated plastic to staple the target on.
