Taurus 605 B2 any good???

Im kinda liking this thing aesthetically, an most importantly for the cost, under $300.

Now, I only own/buy good reliable guns and ive never been a fan or taurus guns, but for a BUG roll Im debating it (for a future purchase as i need my 1894 first). I read a review that these have been reliable, but im curious if anyone owns one and can comment first hand.

I've had good experiences with the Taurus revolvers I've owned/own.

That being said, I would certainly expect any BUG to be as reliable as my main EDC, because if it is EVER called upon.... it WILL become your MAIN gun at that moment.

Meh, not sure where you’re going with that. It’s a revolver.not a hell of a lot that can go wrong with it as long as you function test it . Taurus has been around for quite a while and their revolver line has been pretty reliable.
Some models made back in the 80’s are even sought after.
Hell, I’ve got an old 1800’s French made S&W knock off that still goes bang when I pull the trigger.

yeah, i get it... my life is certainly worth $300 more than the cost of this thing spend, $600 and get a quality name revolver). as I said, i only own quality reliable guns, i once bought a mossberg 930 and ended up selling it because it was not as reliable as i would have liked and bought a benelli m2 instead. but, if the reliability of these things has improved i could see value in owning it as a beater/BUG.

I have a 905 in stainless which I think is pretty much the same Revolver. Only Taurus I own, residing with Walther, Dan Wesson and Beretta stable mates. I was reluctant to purchase a Taurus simply from hearing negative comments. However, after doing a bunch of research on the 9mm revolvers I discovered that Taurus does it most correctly. ( Excluding Korth, which resides on a planet of it's own ). Taurus uses a more appropriate twist rate, Headspace's of the case mouth and can be fired without moonclips If you are willing to poke the spent cartridges out. The " Big Two" do not do the same.
Sorry, I know you are asking about a .357 Mag. ( Same frame and FCG)
My 905 shoots fine. No problems, hell it is a revolver. D/A trigger is pretty heavy and long but consistent.
S/A is actually quite nice. It conceals like any S/W J frame. Not as good as a small flat sided semi such as a PPS or Shield. I was surprised at how soft a shooter it is. However it is stainless so it may weigh a tad more.
Not hard to get a holster for. I am using an Alessi IWB. Fit and finish seem fine. I did invest in some TKC moonclips. What came with the Revolver are junk. (Stellar Clips ) I did put larger grips on as my hands are wide. Not much else to say. So far I have no complaints other than the Stellar Clips.
I hope my first hand experience is useful to you.
As someone else May have already said, 9mm would be a better round from the length of barrel we are taking about. IMO anyway. However, even in the Taurus it will not be as cost effective as the 605 .357 Mag. Plus there is the cost of the TKC moonclips.
