A Texas teen shot herself in the foot with an allegedly stolen AK-47 that she had stuffed down her pants, according to police.

Police responded to the scene of the shooting in Harris County on Tuesday at around 4:15 p.m. They found three teens: two 17-year-old females and a 16-year-old male.

Preliminary reports and witness statements indicated that the male had taken the AK-47 from his home and that the teens were handling the gun when one of the females accidentally pulled the trigger, shooting herself in the leg, according to Constable Mark Herman of Harris County Precinct 4.

Further investigation determined that the gun had been stolen, he told ABC News.

The teen girl then tried putting the weapon in her pant leg and apparently struck herself, deputy constables said.

And there isnt a single thing to indicate the writer "isnt entirely educated about guns"

Like nothing, it's a decently written news report about an incident.


I mean at best we could split some hairs about him calling it an AK-47 (I would be willing to bet money that it wasnt an AK-47) but that's a common mistake that happens even with "gun people"

I did read the whole link. It specifically describes the gun as a "rifle". The video shows an AK-47 with no stock, which might be called a "pistol" but it's still as big as a small rifle and is far to big to put down your pants.

How do you know what can and cannot be stuffed down someone else's pants.

Oh and little bit of information, the reporter isnt just making shit up, they are just repeating the info that the police give them

That is specifically a Century built Romanian Draco pistol shown in the video.

Trying to get that down one's pants with the mag installed doesn't make a lot of sense. Pull the mag and it would be pretty do-able.
