I didn't watch the video but based on the headline this is squarely the result of the Democrats fear-mongering against guns.

Sounds like maybe Andy gave Barney another bullet. But then, there could be more to the story too... time will tell.
One teen was returning the rifle but the other two had air pistols in their waist band. They were going to "exchange" the pistols. Maybe, maybe not. I find it hard to believe the guard would shoot if they told him they were returning the rifle.
A couple of lessons to learn.
A) if you're returning a rifle you should probably use the box it came in.
B) it doesn't pay to be the hero. This guy was not a security guard for that store, just waiting in a parking lot.

For A... who the heck keeps boxes? Especially kids.
I was driving thru where my local Cabelas is, and two young people were carrying in rifles. Into the store with no boxes. Just slung on their shoulder.
Do you think the first thought was I'm going to stop and confront them? No. They weren't doing anything that would've caused me do anything. Secondly if I don't see/hear anything wrong (people screaming, odd movements/handling, etc) then I keep moving. Nothing to see here -- keep moving.
