Tell me about this .30 ammo

Came across some of this ammo. What can you tell me about it?

it appears to be produced by FN for the FN model 49 rifle in cal. .30-06.

I was gonna say, FN logo upside down. Model 49 was something I had to look up.

I have no idea if FN ever used or when they stopped using corrosive priming. If you are to shoot this ammunition I would treat it as having corrosive priming and clean your rifle accordingly. I believe the US stopped using corrosive priming after 1952 but I would verify that date. Also notice this FN ammunition has no NATO mark on the headstamp.

I currently don’t own anything to shoot it out of. Good to know it may be corrosive.

The powder may not be corrosive BUT the primer almost for sure will be so like he said!
