Gov. Bill Lee (R) was signed legislation Tuesday to do away with Tennessee's concealed carry permit requirement.

I can't wait for retirement at this point, but don't think I will find a similar paying job. I'll gladly spend everything I have, and more, on a piece of land there, to go die poor in a free state.

Breaking NY, PA & SC last states standing make it a requirement to get handwritten note from GOD to get CCW permit.

Ny askes all homeowners to give up and paint all property BLUE.....outlaws the color red.

I can't wait for retirement at this point, but don't think I will find a similar paying job. I'll gladly spend everything I have, and more, on a piece of land there, to go die poor in a free state.

Was just looking at houses in TN today day dreaming. Wife actually out of the blue told me yesterday that she was thinking of scaling back, moving to TN, being a housewife and having a simple homestead.

I know I married a good one.

Im really getting to the point where I would rather be poor and free as you said. That would bring me happiness.


There's tons of totally livable houses on small acreage or large lots with essentially dirt cheap property taxes. Totally affordable and livable.

I'm not looking for any specific geographic area just the eastern 1/3 of the state. I am having fun daydreaming about a simpler life and using it to learn more about different towns and counties in East tennessee.

With any kind of a reasonable down payment these mortgages are completely affordable. Taxes are like $400-1000 per year. Yes let that sink in.

Make sure you use the satellite feature on the map when looking at houses online. I've looked at some that looked great - until you look at what's around. Some in the middle of junkyards, high voltage power lines over the house, stuff like that
