Yesterday, when I was out and about, spending money hand over fist. I was thinking the same thing. "A lot worse"
Around that time frame, when I was at Home Depot. I got a call from my friend, and he went on a mini rant, telling me about how his rent just went up $100.
Things are bad, and it seems to be getting even worse.

Well, remember that it never comes back down, it's really just about how fast it continues to rise. And a lot of the impacts of inflation are delayed, since the inflation hits the cost of the raw materials that then have to be made into stuff that then needs to be shipped overseas and stocked on a shelf before you buy it.
Good news, eggs are way back down. Went to the chicken farm this weekend and picked up two flats (60 eggs) for $10. That's $2 a dozen for eggs so fresh they hadn't even cooled to room temperature yet.
