Only "ignored", and still ignore, two members here.

One I had ignored at "the other place", didn't ignore him here at first - figured, what the heck, new place try new things. Some of his posts were worth reading, also. BUT, he got pissed that I posted in one of "his" threads, and said he didn't want me posting in "his" threads, because he considers me a "troll"! WTF??!! So, he's now ignored.

The other was instrumental in the exit in one of our few female members, whose input and views were valuable, IMHO. So, EF him.

Other than that, I'm cool with everyone here, but I will argue a point I feel strongly about.

Lol, I was probably a beer or two in when I wrote that, haha. My thinking was along the lines of how people here seem weirdly obsessed with who's ignoring who in a who's my nemesis sort of way....idk. sometimes I write/say things before I think about it, haha.

I assume this system works such that if you ignore someone, they also by default are ignoring you. I am not sure if this software is smart enough to do that. Consider this thought - when someone is trolling you or you just don't like their comments then just throw them on ignore and not even say anything. I think it's more fun thinking that this asshole you don't like is still trying to leg hump you for month after month and can't understand why you aren't responding. I used to tell people I was putting them in the Bozo Bin (as it used to be called in Usenet days) but I like it better this stealthy way. Your thoughts?

I think ignoring someone only results in you not seeing their comments and posts, maybe threads even? Not you ignore someone and they also would then not see your stuff. You'd probably have a lot of people wondering where other people went in that case, lol.
I totally get the satisfaction that comes with effectively giving someone the silent treatment. I feel like in a forum setting though, where it's relatively anonymous, there is the tenancy for one or both parties to either not care or explode into an irrational state of Internet road rage.

I have never put anyone on my Ignore list.

Many years ago I was on a dive in NC, we were in the bunkhouse (all divers stay free, dorm settings...but free) and we were up at 9:30 watching the movie Office Space in the common area. The "lights out" time is 10PM. Some fartknocker comes out of his bunk all full of piss and vinegar and says "HEY, CAN WE ALL GET TO BED, WE HAVE A DIVE IN THE MORNING!? :mad:" (Just a loudmouth dirty mouth cunt) We were all thinking "...it's 9:30, and we aren't that loud, calm down cupcake." But then this asshat decides to be a dick to one of my dive buddies that is much larger than me. And my buddy fucking reams him. The best line I heard is "Look asshole, you are not going to to out shittalk me with all this shit, so just go back in your room and shut the fuck up."

To this day I love that phrase, and live by it:

You aren't going to out shittalk me. (Because what else are you going to do...fight? :ROFL: Not interested. Complain? We followed the rules. Pull a gun? I wouldn't advise it. Go to bed? there ya go buddy. :) )

So with that under my belt, Internet words don't mean much to my fat, lives in his mom's basement, gay ass. xD
