I don't care how well the farmers are armed. The numbers against them are too large. If they were smart they would be looking to leave while they still can. Most probably wont so violence is all but guaranteed.

I was thinking about this all last night. We're moving toward this in this country. We probably won't see it for another 100 years (maybe less than that depending on demographics) but I can see it coming. Numbers. Period. In most conflicts, numbers win. Plus, if you are trying to defend a fixed position you are a fixed target. No matter how well armed you are, it will be impossible to prevent a numerically superior force from eventually burning you out of your fortification. At best, they'll wind up with a standoff siege situation. At worst, they'll end up with mass attacks and quick slaughter.

BINGO. All aid need to stop right now and we need to halt all trade with SA and enact hard sanctions. The United States should not give aid to and country period in my opinion.
Considering our debt and domestic problems (infrastructure, homeless veterans, for instance), it makes absolutely no sense to be giving money away. I suppose the main argument is that we're bribing shithole countries to behave with the money but, quite frankly, I'd rather let most of them fend for themselves. Not my country, not my problem. That's what I say.
