Well, apparently I was wrong about OBasturd pardoning them. News reports are now saying he did not issue pardons to them.

My bad, I guess.... But IF true, I look forward to Sessions putting her in prison, and the Army executing Bergdahl for what he did on the battlefield.

Some of these(probably a pretty good majority too)I kinda don't disagree/mind with. Many of these people are just normal hard working citizens who got caught up in the whole "war on drugs" money grabbing fiasco of the past 70 years..Yes many are shitbags I'm sure, but many may he as good and kind as one of our children,that just got fucked recreationally using something for their personal desire..and in many States, that "something" may even be technically legal now also.

Yes, way back in 1866, so the Ford pardon of Nixon wasn't the first example: "extends to every offense known to the law, and may be exercised at any time after its commission, either before legal proceedings are taken, or during their pendency, or after conviction and judgment." The 1866 case dealt with a (former) confederate senator who petitioned to have a prior pardon upheld which prevented him from being disbarred.

There are few limits to a presidents capability to pardon, but they do exist:
1) The president can't pardon violations of state law or nullify a civil ruling
2) The president can't pardon convictions as a result of an impeachment hearing.

It's amazing how many times this keeps coming up, over and over and over again with your 'blank check' argument.

Maybe that's the reason the Clinton Global Initiative has been shut down. He can't pardon her for a future crime but can pardon for a crime that has already been comitted (but for which there are no charges etc.)
