My G20 is probably my best gun purchase ever.
Its fun to shoot, accurate, devastating and makes me feel safe.

And it pisses Will off!

Why would it piss me off? The .308 is better than the 5.56 but I'd rather carry the 5.56.

Same goes with the 10mm. Ballistically it's better but I'd rather carry something more controllable and lighter.

My only issue is with the .45 ACP and the ignorant who think it produces more damage.

I may not be the all around expert but I have fired all of the MAJOR calibers and can say, the 10mm is just plain more devastating than 357, 45, 40, 357sig and just as easy to shoot as 45.
I dont find it unmanageable or uncontrollable at all........just hang on tight, point, squeeze.
Im as accurate with my G20 as with my baby soft shooting SR1911 .45.
The big difference is, you gotta be real sure of your backstop because the 10mm goes throughwood, metal, trees, children, pets, cars, frying pans............

They don't make pocket pistols for CCW and ammo is not as plentiful as other calibers that can be had at a cheap price. Those are the negatives.

Also in a hollowpoint configuration, they are designed to open up and parachute penetrating the same as any other caliber. (12 to 18 inches). It would be no different than a .40 S&W with more recoil.

10mm only shines in a FMJ or Hard Cast Flat Point configuration where the bullet itself isn't opening up to limit penetration.

You aren't gaining anything for concealed defensive carry over a .40 S&W when using hollowpoints.

I do not cc my 10mm unless im going to a "dangerous" area. Mostly because it holds more rounds than my other cc handguns.
Like you said, where it shines is why I love it.
With FMJ it is more fun at the range than ANY other of my handguns. Its fun to try to find something it wont destroy. Car doors look like they were attacked by the Taliban, 3/4 inch plywood looks like the floor at a toothpick factory, hell, the cheap ass Allen steel plates I bought at Walmart look like the surface of the moon......craters everywhere. You can cut down small trees for firewood if you want!!!!
Granted its not the cheapest gun to shoot but its alot of fun.

My friend has a Taurus 740 slim, 40 cal.
I would not want to use that in a defensive situation, I can only imagine a 10mm in that sub compact size.
It would not be fun at all.
