There's talk on NYC & NYS rewriting the law to make the case moot and avoid what happened in DC - shall issue.
@Airborneguy is spot on. They're scared.
That article also shows they are afraid. I also doubt that 60% of Americans want stricter gun control as the article states.Another article from the New Yorker
Will the Supreme Court Use a New York City Regulation to Strike Down Gun Laws?
they did not ask me O right they only call libsThat article also shows they are afraid. I also doubt that 60% of Americans want stricter gun control as the article states.

Bets on there being another mass shooting right before the case is heard?Everything that side claims is a lie.
I've been reading every single leftist article I can find regarding this case. They're very afraid. The lefty group I debate with on Facebook is trembling. They've pretty much already decided that the Court will come out swinging, likely codifying a "reciprocity" or even outright nationwide carrying of firearms regardless of permits. That group is mostly made us of prosecutors and defense attorneys, so their fear is based on years of legal training which makes me feel really, really good about this.

@ArmedCorgi, I could not like your post, but sadly, I agree that this is a likely scenario, as leftists have demonstrated they will stoop to any action that will foster their ends.Bets on there being another mass shooting right before the case is heard?

The court can still rule on the case because the damage has been done, the right was denied. He would be entitled to get a ruling too sue for damages. In this case lawyer and court fees ect. If your unlawfully arrested state can't change the law to make the arrest legal.
What damages? Monetary damages?
Not how it works generally with rights cases. You seek specific remedies. In this case the city would say "we don't do that anymore" and the court would likely drop hands and say done is done.

What's his feeling about the outcome?I shot with one of the plaintiffs yesterday.
