Putting history and politics aside. Just on a human level. Desecrating monuments to the dead is one of the lowest forms of human behavior. Doesn't matter if it's a Jewish Cemetery or a Confederate Memorial. Leave the dead alone!
What an irony it is that Jewish mayor of Charlotesville has to be called out on this by neo-Nazis. The war on statues of dead American soldiers is wrong on so many levels. Soldiers don't pick the wars they have to fight.

No, it's not a promise. It's just an educated guess based on the rift this country is experiencing. The left is in full on resist, smear, vilify and de-humanize mode. This is the downward spiral that get's people loaded into train cars and placed in mass graves....if we let it happen.

The problem is that people these days seem to think that history has ended. It hasn't, not by a long shot. History is still being made and it's being made more so by the deliberate disregard, by the left, of the past and it's lessons. It's by design. No amount of reason or tolerance will due. We are fighting for our very existence because of these bought and paid for protesters. The silver lining is that no matter what, our cause is genuine and not paid for the way theirs is. We believe in what we stand for and while they may gain the upper hand initially, it's only because they have the media on there side. It won't last forever. The truth will get out. Meanwhile, we cannot go softly into the night and we cannot allow extreme fringe hate groups (right and left) to coop our message.

13 young men died there - Confederates and prisoners of the Union.

Where were they buried ? No one knows. They were treated like trash, like dead meat. Not as Human Beings.

A century later a Tombstone was erected, simply to note their lives - and their deaths.
