And if they do or try, what then? At this point, with what has been disclosed to date, to do so would be 100% exposing them. So what would happen? Would the deep state and military clamp down on the citizenry? Would there be mass civil unrest and a fracturing of the military? Nothing, just more Applebee's and Super Bowls?

At this point they may feel Pence can be bought and wouldn't release further memos. Short term they would have a patsy to point fingers at, a rogue agent was the sole operator in an assassination. The media would then run with it and everything goes back to business as usual.
This is just my creepy opinion based on what the Letter Agencies have been capable and willing to due thus far.

I was first exposed to the idea of "turnings" last year during the 2016 election. I thought it was pretty interesting and I've been reading more about it since. The theory seems to have actual merit based on history and if true....we're in for a rough near future.
If you look at almost every major period of chaos, hardship, instability and war the worst of it happens in the 4th turnings.
