Most ranges in NYS do not allow Browning 50 cals to be fired, as they are destructive of the backstops, and very loud.

I used to fire a friends Barrett 50 cal Semi at Camden...big boom, lots of muzzle brake back blast.
He moved out of state, as the range banned them.

Not much practical use; heavy, one shot reveals you location. Fun, but the bill is not likely to pass. Youtube videos of hits in the sandbox, were spectacular on humans.

Doesn’t matter if they have a practical use or not. The second amendment doesn’t say anything about practically of guns.
people use them in long range shooting contests and for fun. They should be able to do that. I will likely never own one but if others want to I have no issue with that. Blow up a dead tree with one for all I care.
