The only good Kennedy is a dead Kennedy. MLK, did not know him. He meant nothing to me.
But but but....
JFK collected WHALE TEETH.
How could I not like him ?

There are 3 people I really have to care about, wife, daughter And stepson. There are a few more I care about sisters family’s, Brother’s family, mom and dad and a few cousins. There are two non related people on the planet, I will drop everything and go to them in their time of need, (armed to the teeth if need be). That is about as wide as my circle gets, everyone else is a Good Samaritan action. As we all know, “No good deed goes unpunished.“Too many people have this fake caring attitude. Deep down inside most people don't care about anyone outside of their circle.
Unlike me, most are not willing to admit this fact.
I do not care outside of my family and friends. I hear of deaths of those that I do not know, for the most part, I do not care.
Death comes to us all.If this headline and story are true, this would be one more thing that I agree with My President about,
Life always ends in death. We are born, we live and then we die. That is fact.
No man can stop the reality of death. People will die, it is, what it is.
If I care then I am virtuous.
If I am virtuous I am better than you.
Republicans never care.
@GOPerfect, last two posts in this thread are spot on.

All I gotta do is “stay white and die“ everything else is optionalIf this headline and story are true, this would be one more thing that I agree with My President about,

I used to care. Once upon a time, I was a brand new, overly-enthusiastic and grossly naive EMT who thought I could save the world. Then I actually did the job for many years. And I stopped caring.
I stopped caring after a drunk killed his three year old niece, and the family was more concerned about hiding him so he could sober up and stay out of jail.
I stopped caring after the 8th time I transported a woman to the hospital because her boyfriend beat her to within an inch of her life, and she kept going back.
I stopped caring after a girl who was texting while driving killed herself and four friends, and the community absolved her of responsibility "because she was a good kid"
I stopped caring after the eleventeenhundredth time I took a morbidly obese person with a heart attack to the hospital while they were screaming "why me"
I stopped caring after the thousandth time I was met at the bottom of the driveway by someone with their bags packed and handed five Medicaid cards that all had the same name and picture but different ID numbers.
I stopped caring after I responded to my neighbor's fourth overdose - the one that finally killed him.
And then, after almost 20 years, I just stopped.
I stopped when I finally made the realization that all I was doing as an EMT was retarding our own evolution as a species and messing with the natural order.
I stopped when I finally realized that humanity as a whole is fucked as long as we allow this shit to continue.
We all die. When people die early, it is usually a result of their own life choices. So if you don't care if you live or die, why should I?
I don't. And neither should the President.
I am still capable of empathy and sympathy. So, when asked where is your empathy, this is how it disappeared?
Sad, but so very true. I am asked quite often when is my empathy? Where is my sympathy? My answer is very similar to yours.
Too many have never seen what you just described, hopefully, they never will.
I am still capable of empathy and sympathy.
I am just able to see that without natural selection we are completely screwed a species.
