The Price of Turkey Shells?

Is this a reasonable price? I'm not a turkey hunter but just asking. The price per round seems insane but the reviews seem to justify the price.

It’s not out of line for what it is. Actually I think that is the only ammo that hasn’t increased. The price is because it’s tungsten. Many claim 70 yards is very doable with that load.some take ‘em out to 90 yards with that load, but it is ill advised.

I have lots of turkey loads on hand. I usually pick up a few boxes year before I remember that I suck at Turkey hunting and have ammo left from previous years.

Don’t fall for specialty ammo and their ridiculous cost. You can kill turkeys with any good 2 + oz. load. Just need to know which one patterns best in your gun, get proficient with it and don’t exceed its limits. Hell, I’ve killed turkeys with my longbow and a hand sharpened 170grain broad head.

I bought a lifetime supply when gander outdoors but me was closing for like $4-$8/box and they are 10 shell boxes!!

Given the Devil his due, the exotic specialty Loads do offer an advantage of distance and engineered fight control for better patterning, but when it gets right down to it you can kill them with #8's out of a .410 when you know your Shotgun and how to shoot it!
When I was a teenager I had a Remington 48 that was given to me....damn thing would shoot around corners and it wasn't until we started patterning it on Newspaper that we figured out how far off it really was....incidentally I used that same gun to kill an Osceola Turkey in the Green Swamp with a #8 "Dove & Quail" load.
People are always looking for a mechanical edge, while failing to hone the edge they themselves can be....there is no substitute for Trigger Time.

$50/5 I think is what fed tss has been for awhile now. Shits expensive as hell but people buy it.

I'm using Winchester long beard XR , patterns great in my 935 and costs much less for double the ammo.
