The manufacturers should counter sue for at least costs.
Not only should costs be recovered, but lawyers who accept and bring frivolous lawsuits should be censured or even disbarred! Judges who allow BS cases to proceed on political posturing rather than sound legal standing should suffer the same.
Shouldn't have even made it that far.

These particular plaintiffs can't sue these specific defendants over this specific instance is all.
The gun grabbers are already preparing their briefs for the next round of lawsuits that they *know* they will eventually lose. Their goal is just to harrass the manufacturers.

With all the wisdom imparted during the creation of our constitution the founders forgot the clause making lawyers ineligible to hold any public office that has the power to draw up and enact laws. Or lobby for such.

And there is an endless line of them ready to sue again, so telling the guy at the front of the line he can't come back is not going to solve the problem.

Not how the system works. I've been sued for stupid crap and all expenses were on My nickel after the case was dismissed. Ask an attorney what cases can be counter sued
