The White House is hosting nearly 100 US lawmakers to brainstorm gun violence prevention strategies​

The gun violence prevention office, the first of its kind, was launched this year by President Joe Biden. It has formulated a set of guidelines to help states take action across six areas, including creating state-run offices like the federal office, strengthening support for survivors and families of victims, and reinforcing responsible gun ownership.

“We’ve been meeting with the state legislators ever since the start of our office, and one thing we hear all the time is they want to do more to reduce gun violence,” said Stefanie Feldman, director of the Office of Gun Violence Prevention. “The question is, what should they do and how?”

Biden, a Democrat, has called gun violence “the ultimate superstorm,”

They are corrupt as fuck and only know how to steal American tax dollar ah fuck it I don't much care anymore.

Let citizens shoot the people that try to victimize them. You'd see a lot less crime if criminals were legitimately scared that every single person they tried to make their victim could waste them.

I'm sure some will say, "a life is more valuable than some stuff". Yeah, well I say my car is more valuable to me than the life of a criminal trying to steal it. A car provides me a really good ability to travel and to also make a living and support my family. A criminal that steals my car provides me no benefits and actually inhibits my ability to travel and make a living. So yes, my car *IS* more valuable than said criminal. If my car disappeared tomorrow I'd have a big problem. I can't say the same about a thief.

One week after Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D) failed to secure passage of an “assault weapons” ban the Biden Administration is shifting its attention to state legislatures, asking them to ban AR-15s and similar rifles.

On December 13, 2023, The Washington Post noted that the Biden administration is shifting the focus to state legislatures, urging them to pass the gun ban that could not be passed in the U.S. Senate. The administration also wants states to pass laws that would allow gun companies to be sued over the criminal use of legally made firearms.
One hundred legislators from 39 states gathered at the White House Wednesday to hear Vice President Kamala Harris announce the shift in focus. Harris said, “We are fighting just for what is reasonable and, of course, what is right.”

I always said if I ever caught a thief in one of my buildings the first thing I would ask him is if anyone knew he was there , if he answered no I'd say good and lock the door and smile.

It's cute that you think anyone in Washington gives a fuck about anybody/anything other than themselves, especially anything antithetical to them remaining in power.....such as an armed populace.

The people who think this way are looking at it backwards. The criminal should be thinking, "Is that stuff I want to steal more valuable than my life?"
