call the cops??? Unless you think it's your child. then call home and ask what's going onSo what do you do when you're notified someone is tampering with your gun in your home, and you're an hour away?
When I was growing up, the guns were mostly kept in a cabinet that didn't even have a door. A couple of the ones we used frequently were kept by the back door.Easier to gun proof the kids than kid proof the gun.
Wise words. We were camping and I took my ccw off to wash up and brush my teeth. I put my ccw on the kitchen sink in my camper. My younger son looked at it and said dad is that your gun. I said yes what are you going to do about it. He said never touch it. I said yes, but if your curious let me know and I'll make the gun safe and you can handle it. Sometimes if you take the curiosity out they won't touch them. Also every time I go to my parents to shoot I go over the gun rules with my kids. When I was growing up, the guns were mostly kept in a cabinet that didn't even have a door. A couple of the ones we used frequently were kept by the back door.
When I was young, we knew not to touch them without an adult, as we grew that rule relaxed, but we always knew to respect them, because they were always treated with respect by the adults.
Locks can be defeated, a parents job is not to protect their children from the world, but to prepare them for it.

Don't have kids, I was talking about my own childhood.Adults trusting kids is how bad things happen. Teach them the right thing, but always have a backup. Even if your kids were okay (assuming you had any), it doesn't mean your kid's asshole friend won't touch them. My kids aren't going to become a statistic because adults are projecting "common sense" to immature and irrational kids.
Yeah they look promising alright - promising to make that company a mint. Lets see, 13 pistols (if I was unlucky enough to own that many and my guess would be that many on these forums do own that many) times $169 for each Zorex without the bridge would be: $1937 (not including sales tax or shipping). With the bridge for each, the cost would rise to $2,179 (again without sales tax or shipping ) and that is their so called pre-order price. Even their Zore Watchdog is pretty expensive considering that the same amount of them would cost $767. That would just be for a baker's dozen of pistols. What about the 25 or 30 rifles you have once they develop them for long guns?I just said it was interesting and interesting technology. But, if you ever do need a quick access gun lock, admit it, this look promising
