Just remember Joe has to pull himself out of the race or die at this point. He has secured through the primary process more than enough delegates for the nomination. But there maybe a way to challenge that at the convention but that isn't until August and they need to introduce and prop up the new person immediately if they are to sway independent voters. As much as swamp republicans want to stay out of it, they maybe called upon to enact the 25th amendment. That would surely disqualify Biden. Harris then steps out of the way with a well written story as to why and the new narrative well produced for the media to run with. This would make what would appear to be violations of campaign law easier for the left wing courts to ignore and allow the transfer of funds. If you tune into left wing media, they are floating every scenario an polling responses.

The republicans need to pledge their delegates as the way people voted but the dems don’t. Their delegates can go rogue and vote as they please. Delegates are only obligated to vote for Biden out of good conscience but with Biden wavering their conscience to lead them in another direction.

I don't know who it will be (I couldn't bring myself to vote even in a poll for a dem, it felt dirty) but I expect that if there will be a swap, then the tone in campaign messaging will change. It will be weighted more anti-Trump in general and less brandon's "accomplishments", the platform will need to be more generic to serve the democratic newcomer.
I also don't think joe leaves office before he's had the chance to pardon hunter.
I believe the 25th needs to be invoked by the VP and at least half the cabinet or by a review body set up by congress, which is a process in itself. From there, all POTUS needs do is formally protest and it goes to a vote in both House and Senate, 2/3 required both bodies. Mighty high bar to clear and huge political backlash if it isn't.
Political pariah is the destiny for the first one to table the motion.

So in 2016, the DNC swiped delegates from Sanders to keep Hillary in the race. It all start in NH. I think the first week after that 60k plus registered democrats left the party and more continued in the weeks after as more delegates were being taken away from sanders with each primary. It was a huge issue and grew the ranks of the independent voters, which pulled the group more to the center as a voting block. These delegates were not happy of course being told who they were to pledge to but they fell in line. Super delegates played a role and were the motivation behind it all.N

The DNC nominee needs around 1600+ delegates to secure the nomination. Joe has far exceeded that with over 3300+. Sanders had enough delegates that were taken away from him to at the very least, he could have challenged Hillary at the convention. Of course he folded like a cheap suit and fell in line as ordered.
If they were going to attempt to forcibly remove Biden, they would need to put a candidate in right now to give time to get over the legal hurdles. That's not happening. Those delegates are pledged by the rules of the party to Biden. If no candidate exists though, then those delegates can move to who ever they want. We could see an open convention in August if Biden drops out, medical eliminated, death or 25th amendment disqualifies him. That would be the cleanest scenario for the DNC right now.
Time is running out for them.
The other play is to put Trump in orange and in solitary confinment on July 11th. They may do both.
But Trump did this all to himself. there was no good reason to take that debate. lol

Neither could retired Senator Lautenberg. He retired in 2001 and entered the race in 2003 weeks before election day for the Democrat candidate who died. A NJ court allowed it when not only did state law prohibit it, but so did campaign finance law. He won. Served again from 2003 to 2013.
