If it was real (but it's not) five known failures of this kind with how many million sold I would say it's still a pretty good gun. I have a lot of rounds through my x5 and 10 with out even a hiccup. The five will eat anything you feed it and cycle like a champ. The 365 (I know not a 320) will do the same. Just my 2 cents.
I do appreciate you posting it. I have no issue with that at all. My issue is if the pictures being posted by some people have some sort of malicious intent to scare the owners of one of the most popular guns in circulation. Whether it be for shits and giggles or just to scare them in to not wanting to carry and or own one.I don't own one and dont have an answer to the question but I didn't want to hear about forum members getting hurt because I didn't post.
Nothing wrong with information and of course it’s a good idea to post it.I don't own one and dont have an answer to the question but I didn't want to hear about forum members getting hurt because I didn't post.
This fellow makes a lot of sense ,,, I have two P320's .. I have not lost sleep over it. exploding.
I think he does a good job explaining the issues.
What’s odd is the P320 takes the same barrels, grip modules and magazines as the previous p250. Heck even the FCU’s are almost 90% the same and you can convert one into the other. I never heard about this happening much with the P250. I have to wonder if this might be out of spec ammo or improperly reloaded ammo as the cause? If it was real (but it's not) five known failures of this kind with how many million sold I would say it's still a pretty good gun. Yes I am aware. That has no bearing on the grip frame being blown out.P250 was an internal hammer design.
Sit took an internal hammer gun and redesigned it to make it a striker fired.
But “drop testing” them with a mighty heave could have a little to do with it. Funny how there’s never any blood, and all the little pieces and parts are easily collected for a nice InstaBook net post. Drama queens.Yes I am aware. That has no bearing on the grip frame being blown out.
Yes if there was an issue with the design of the barrels, grip frame, or mags that would cause such a failure, we would have seen it happen with the P250.But “drop testing” them with a mighty heave could have a little to do with it. Yeah, the original P320 had issues with drop firing due to a meaty trigger and bad design, but that was all engineered out with subsequent iterations.
