This sounds like Hitlers 1944 Ardennes offensive. (aka battle of the bulge). The Ukis will likely make initial progress but their supply lines will become extended and targeted, they will encounter pockets of heavy resistance and they will be trying to advance in an environment where their enemy controls the air. It's going to end badly with lots of deaths and will likely deplete Ukraine of a significant portion of their remaining combat effectiveness.

Also, looks like a 3rd rate drone attacked the actual Kremlin overnight.

(It's being reported as an assassination attempt on Putin) but it's really not. It's stupid for Ukraine because they were going for propaganda but now just pissed off the ruskies for attacking their capital and Ukraine got no benefit from doing so. Very short sighted.

Maybe, maybe not. The doolittle raid on japan pissed off the japanese for attacking their capital. It was a huge morale booster for the Americans and had the opposite effect on the japanese who now knew their homeland was not safe.

Not that putin cares about public opinion but the mood of the russian people might change if they start to feel the war's effects at home.

Thats how Im seeing it. Unless they can find an easy area to take for propaganda purposes. I dont see how they win here.

Russia will find that the drones and munitions were manufactured/created/deployed by US/CIA/NATO and take the gloves off to give someone a bloody nose.

Somebody targeted the Kremlin whether Putin was there or not. (Whether it was a false flag or not)
Somebody targeted the Nordstream pipelines. (Whether it was a false-false flag or not)

Those are stories Russia can tell and be believed by all the BRICS nations.

Russia won't take out the Whitehouse or the Capital because everyday those assholes are in office is a force multiplier for Russia (BRICS). Our politicians' incompetence, corruption, and downright treasonous actions are our worst enemy.

What will be the non-BRICS bloody nose?

NATO HQ ?

Is there a US/NATO warship operating alone somewhere?

Good points, the one thing they can do is bomb the living shit out of Kiev. they can target zelenski and his family, his house, the parlimount , government offices in Kiev .They really haven't done that yet.

I dont think the Russians or the Ukrainians have targeted civilians . It makes no sense to do it , We killed untold numbers of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan , but I dont think it was military or political policy to do it , As opposed to WW2 where we firebombed citys on purpose. Its a war, you have to expect that kind of thing. There is no goal achieved , it cost a lot of money and ammo which can be better used against other targets.

Im not talking about incidents where individual soldiers committed war crimes . Of course that happens, but national policy of Killing civilians ? Im not buying it.
