Anyone see the new latest rumor that in the spring "nato" might shift into western Ukraine to effectively be rear guard to Allow Ukraine to redeploy the bulk of their reserve forces east? The move would also likely come with NATO establishing a no fly zone over part of the country.
This has been discussed and mentioned in multiple places. It's worth paying attention to because frankly it scares the shit out of me because of how dangerous of a move it would be for the world and our country.
Nato would be inserting themselves into an active warzone and most likely end up shooting down Russian planes sooner or later. This is seriously a terrible idea unless you are actually trying to start WW3.

Ive been hearing rumors about it too. Of all the things they have fucked up beyond repair , this would be the worst fucking, fuck up, they could fuck up.
NATO planes would be based out of NATO country's not Ukraine, If the Russian military was attacked , they would have every right to strike bases in NATO to defend themselves. In fact, they would have to . Shooting down Russian aircraft is act of war, and the Russians will see it that way, because it is.
If a Russian sub launched missiles off the coast of Britain and her runways, the Brits will respond by hunting down Russian subs , Russian subs in the Atlantic, will pick off British ships and attack any NATO aircraft flying over their field of fire. Ports will be struck, and inevitably Russian airfields in Russia. it will end in WW3 .
However, If the Russians comply with the no fly zone, They will deprive NATO the reason to send in troops , delaying the game .They have been holding back their air force anyway so its not a major loss to them anyway.
Russians have already made it clear that any western military's in Ukraine are fair targets , If the Poles cross the border , the Russians may fire on them , most likely will fire on them .
You never know though, it could be some kind of game to put pressure on Putin to sign some kind of deal ( wont work) I think Russia is more willing to die than the west , and if Russia dies its taking the west with them.
Which is precisely my fear is because they are so busy tripping over their own egos they have made everything worse. It's only logical to assume this pattern will contain and they will actually be arrogant enough to do something so incredibly stupid
Totally agree. There are enough NATO airfields in Eastern Poland and the Baltics that could host fighters and with aerial refueling there's no need for NATO jets to physically be based out of Ukraine they will stay based in NATO territory and fly into/over Ukraine.
So the first time a Russian jet violates the unilateral hypothetical no flyzone a NATO jet will down it. Russia won't just take it, they will retaliate and likely attack where the jet is based from so that would mean directly striking NATO territory. Then it's a tit for tat of escalation and within days we will be in full blown ww3.
I feel like this would be a far more dangerous situation than even the Cuban missile crisis was.

Interesting. This article explains the sanctions don't seem to be hurting Russia much but instead are designed to put US citizens under more control. It would not surprise me if it was true.

Yeah, I didnt think so. the Russians caught the Ukrainians, out in the open moving toward advika, they were hit with thermobaric and cluster weapons , the casualties are heavy . Thats what zelenskys last general was trying to tell him and he was relived of command. He put a new ""yes man"" in the position and got his way . It changed nothing and a lot young men are dead because of it.

According to preliminary data, it was the 3rd assault brigade "Azov", which was supposed to go to unlock the Avdiivka garrison, that fell under this distribution. Russian troops used several Iskander missiles with a cluster part and added Smerch MLRS, also with a cluster part.
Probably about what it felt like for Germans in Stalingrad when they got encircled and were told to fight to the last man without resupply or rescue and couldn't attempt to breakout because they had to hold their ground.
Terrible strategic decisions.

It's a pattern. Ukraine experiences a set back on the battlefield. Ukraine/NATO attacks Russian ship to divert attention. Russia retaliates against foreign mercenaries. The latest was in Selydove. Ukraine downplays the casualties as only a few civilians. Russian sources claim over 200 mercenaries.
