1. The 4+ years of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
2. The 2.2 years of the covid scamdemic.
3. Now Putin losing his shit invading another country and threatening nukes.
I'm not so sure these three things are not connected. IMHO
But then again the covid scamdemic has me questioning everything.
I trust nothing I hear or read from any media.
I may have become jaded. But I never think that the tinfoil hat is to tight anymore.
I put nothing past the world elite. Nothing.
The above is nothing new for me but it is in overdrive at this point.
Those columns are absolutely begging to be obliterated. The frustrating thing in all this is that russia's military is even worse than I had thought (I've never thought highly of it. Always thought it was big and shitty and now I know it with certainty). If NATO was to actually implement a no-fly and help secure ukraine's borders russia would have to skulk back home. There's no chance in the world they could keep any of this up if Europe decided it was done watching from the sidelines. In very little time europe could set russia's military progress back a generation, and destroy shitloads of its assets in ukraine.
Those columns are absolutely begging to be obliterated.
It's a good thing I don't have any decision-making power because if I had my finger on the trigger of those a10s I would lack the self discipline not to send them out.
Seen that with my own eyes.. Mass wreckage.Highway of Death
The Highway of Death refers to a six-lane highway between Kuwait and Iraq, officially known as Highway 80. It runs from Kuwait City to the border town of Safwan in Iraq and then on to the Iraqi city of Basra. The road had been used by Iraqi armed divisions for the 1990 Invasion of Kuwait. The...military-history.fandom.com
The 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing A-6 Intruder aircraft blocked Highway 80 with aerial-delivered GATOR anti-tank mines, and then bombed the rear of a massive vehicle column of mostly Iraqi Regular Army forces, effectively boxing in the Iraqi forces in an enormous traffic jam of sitting targets for subsequent airstrikes. Over the next 10 hours, scores of U.S. Marine and U.S. Air Force aircraft and U.S. Navy pilots from USS Ranger (CV/CVA-61) attacked the convoy using a variety of ordnance. Vehicles surviving the air attacks were later engaged by arriving coalition ground units, while most of the vehicles that managed to evade the traffic jam and continued to drive on the road north were targeted individually. The road bottle-neck near the Mutla Ridge police station was reduced to a long uninterrupted line of more than 300 stuck and abandoned vehicles sometimes called the Mile of Death. The wreckage found on the highway consisted of at least 28 tanks and other armored vehicles with many more commandeered civilian cars and buses filled with stolen Kuwaiti property
Horrendous for those on the ground.Highway of Death

Damn!Seen that with my own eyes.. Mass wreckage.
I disagree. Though such crimes against humanity may get documented, I am not ready to plunge the world into a nuclear exchange. A dictator forced into a corner, with no apparent exit, will lash out in a self-destructive death throe. We are walking toward something like this day by day. If Russia ends up in a protracted war with ukraine, missiling apartment complexes and broad bombing of civilians I can see europe deciding it has seen enough and it won't keep watching it.
I doubt that Ukraine has any ability to strike at Russia, militarily. However, it is conceivable that we could see anti-Russian terrorism committed by pro-Ukrainian groups. Only bad things will come from this action by Russia. Are the Ukraine's air force getting any heavy bombers Moscow isn't that far away WW3 is looking a lot closer than ever !
That must have been jarring. Did you see it from the ground or from the air?Seen that with my own eyes.. Mass wreckage.
If you've opened a history book, you understand how undesirable that is.A reset brings back the "default" settings.
I have some great pictures of that...Highway of Death

Iraq, the first time, was literally us kicking Saddam's ass for doing exactly what Putin has done now.Ever see what we did in Iraq? I did.
Iraq, the first time, was literally us kicking Saddam's ass for doing exactly what Putin has done now.
The second time, not so much. We also weren't trying to install a puppet regime, just wanted someone slightly less unstable. It was working until Biden the 1st fucked it up.
The reasons this Ukraine situation won't go the way the Kuwait one did is Putin's nukes and the fact that Ukraine is putting up more than the not even token resistance that Kuwait was able to.
The world hasn't change. It's always been this way. A lot of people are just starting to realize what it's really like now is all.Realize it not, the world has now changed forever. We are now on a road of no turning back , How it ends nobody knows, But it doesn't look good .
Very close from the ground. That must have been jarring. Did you see it from the ground or from the air?
Guy with giant army invades his peaceful neighbor because he wants their shit. Not being sarcastic, I do not see that much of a comparison between Desert Storm and what is going on in The Ukraine.
I have heard others comparing the two, I just don't see it.
Very close from the ground.

edit;
If we were pretty confident putin wouldn't rage quit and nuke, giving him the what for now could permanently humiliate him, shut down any aspirations russia will have in my life for further land grabs, and result in a long term change in the power balance of Europe. No more bending over for putin.
No no. you cant tell me wars dont change things. Everything has changed, The power balance in Europe is shifting, thats going to effect us all.The world hasn't change. It's always been this way. A lot of people are just starting to realize what it's really like now is all.
Guy with giant army invades his peaceful neighbor because he wants their shit.
Seems pretty similar to me.
The reasons it isn't going to become desert storm/shield is that Putin has nukes, and Ukraine is managing to hold him off long enough that the world is responding *before* Putin has completely occupied Ukraine.
Saddam took Kuwait before anyone knew what was happening.
You're getting bogged down in the details. No no. you cant tell me wars dont change things. Everything has changed, The power balance in Europe is shifting, thats going to effect us all.
The wars in the Mid East changed the Mideast forever.
That's how I see this. It's a lose-lose.I disagree. Though such crimes against humanity may get documented, I am not ready to plunge the world into a nuclear exchange. A dictator forced into a corner, with no apparent exit, will lash out in a self-destructive death throe.
Of course they have a choice not to launch nukes. Ukraine is not their territory. The rational move is to withdraw back behind their territory and adopt the same stance the globe has had since the 50's, which is if you don't invade my territory I won't nuke you.Your talking about going to war with Russia, Thats insane. they have no choice but to launch nukes. This no fly zone bullshit means shooting down Russian aircraft. And like Swartzkoff said ""the enemy gets a vote too.""
Using nukes any larger than tactical is suicide.Your talking about going to war with Russia, Thats insane. they have no choice but to launch nukes. This no fly zone bullshit means shooting down Russian aircraft. And like Swartzkoff said ""the enemy gets a vote too.""
