Agreed. And what ever their logic is, we are not grasping or appreciating of "why".
Russian values, history, ideals, philosophy, mentality, culture are all very different from us. They do things differently from the west and the Asian east. They are the ultimate "honey badger" that does things their own way. Us trying to understand their motivation is a fools errand. I don't or can't comprehend what the end game is.
I'm not pro nor anti Russia. I think in some regards they're assholes, but in other regards we've screwed them and alienated them.
I really just can't wrap my head around "what" us going on and "why" it's going on. And I have no problem openly saying I'm clueless. I have tried to honestly learn and analyze impartially and I don't know or can't appreciate Putins motivation and objective.
If his goal really genuinely was a "neutral" disarmed Ukraine his best route would be to have negotiated some sort of formal peace treaty BEFORE invading. That would have had the greatest chance of a neutral Ukraine. Now many pundits claim he was to swiftly crush Ukraine, depose the Ukrainian government and replace them with a puppet after he's invaded. All that's going to do is have an entire country that's a hornets nest of anti Russian insurgency tying up large amounts of Russian resources for years to come. I don't see that as a wise move.
Whatever is going on we're looking at it from the wrong angle and Putin is keeping his cards close to himself. And to be honest even if he tells us his motivation or objective who would believe it as truthful?

Putin has said the dissolution of the soviet union was the greatest geopolitical failure of the 20th century. Simply, I think he wants to reverse some of it.
My strong suspicion is nobody in putin's upper echelon dared tell him how this would go, so he was oblivious to the risks of what we are seeing now, which is a far less effective invasion force plagued by logistics issues.

THAT was Trump's approach. He wanted Germany to shut down their pipelines from Russia and upgrade seaports to allow more unloading of American oil and liquified natural gas. Trump proposed selling fuel to Germany and the EU at prices lower than they'd get from Russia, save them money, make money for the U.S., strengthen our alliance, and freeze out our enemy.

If this indeed was the case, the Ukraine resistance could use classic Vietcong ambush techniques and attack from the flanks on a blind curve and cut the column in half. Then hit the column in the head and the rear. Trap everyone in the mobile column in place and snipe from both sides. The attackers could retreat and regroup anytime. God forbid muster up an aircraft or two. Hit and run all day long from both sides. No sleep, wear them down mentally and physically. Snipers, shoot and scoot.

Another fact that backs my theory. What if all the corrupt globalist money is in Ukraine banks? What is Russia took down their ISP so the money couldn't get transferred? What if that is why Elon Musk is sending that networking gear to them? What would happen if Putin stole all their money? That would be worth risking his country for, it would leave Russia and China as world super powers.
