Russia's main objective is to roll back NATO expansion to 1997 level when it signed an agreement with NATO. Russia had no plans to invade anyone and still doesn't. Ukraine is using a stand off between Russia and NATO to recapture Donbass, knowing Russia's negotiations with NATO will suffer if Russia gets involved in Donbass.

No, the invasion was supposed to happen on February 16th. Obviously Russian aggressors overslept. At some point, few weeks, few month or few years from now Russia may be provoked enough to take that step, but "imminent invasion" on or close to that date is a lie.
