1.Looks like he didn't slip away. He doesn't appear to escape. I'm sure as soon as the camera cuts off he's being clubbed down and stuffed in the white van.
2. He's never going to be an f16 pilot. Way too much time and training involved. He'll be sent off to the front after about 2 weeks of training and maybe shooting 200 practice rounds to most likely never been seen from again. He's just a meat bag to be a bullet magnet to slow down the Russians.
The entire situation sucks. I don't understand how people can still be cheering this on. Be pragmatic the best possible thing for Ukraine right now out of the realistic options not some absurd pie in the sky fantasy of driving the Russians back across the border is to broker a Peace deal now. Save what's left of Ukraine and the men in that country.
Yes, it does appear police lead him away in the end and obviously he is not someone who they will waste resources on pilot training. It's a caricature on idiocy of Ukrainian puppet state and how U.S. government, media and military leadership are detached from reality.
Russia will never accept a hostile terrorist state on its historic territory, populated by its own ethnos and the West will block any peace deal.
Ukrainians are getting tired of being used by the West. At some point anti-West movement will take control and make a deal with Russia.
As the saying goes: close neighbor is more important than far relative.

There have been a lot of red lines given out by Putin, must have been crossed. The 2 I actually think he seriously means are leading the kerch straight bridge alone And unharmed, and protecting the mother land.

I think this is bad for world peace. I think Russia is going to actively subvert us interests and likely use proxies to attack America and cause chaos.
I strongly believe there is Russian and Chinese backing and influence in the spiral of Western society suddenly everyone getting ready to fight each other. BRICS and specifically Russia would love nothing more than to watch western Europe and the US self destruct. I think they're going to play both sides to stir up hatred and agitation. Look for foreign guided false flags in the near future to get citizens angry at each other. You better believe Russian interests would greatly be served if the US or Europe degenerate into civil conflicts

The only option Russia has to escalate is tactical nukes.
Zelensky is probably praying for that. NATO wouldn't be able to just stand by anymore.
Ukraine has been fighting them to a stalemate for years with no real air support, if NATO airpower got involved they would roll the Russian army right up and smoke 'em.

Because the consequences of letting Russia take Ukraine are worse.
If they do it is a complete waste of money. The democrats are trying to undermine this country all on their own.
There seems to be an explosion of Ukrainian propaganda on social media coupled with Kursk incursion. More and more of Ukrainian troops are advancing, instead of holding fortified positions, thus becoming an easier target. Considering shortage of manpower in the Ukrainian military, what a dumb move. Kursk incursion is a good PR for Ukraine, but it is bound to end in disaster for its military.

It will. Theres no army behind it . They caught the Russkies with thier pants down , thats all. it wont last. The southern front is collapsing . I believe the goal was the nuclear powerplant nearby to give them some negotiating leverage . Its like the German last ditch attempt to stall the allies by taking the port of Antwerp in the battle of the bulge, with similar results. (yet to be seen)
It could also be an attempt to relieve pressure in the south by making them take units from south and transferring them to Kursk , Dont know.

They're in a lot of trouble. It was a desperate move anyway. This only goes one way . I figured that bulge would last about 2 weeks , but its taking a little longer , but once it pops , I dont think theres much behind it
