@oc shooter get the steyr. Trapezoidal sights are amazing in my opinion. If I could get steyr trapezoidal sights for other handguns I would.

How do you like the Glock 20?
I like it alot.
With a good belt its as easy as any pistol to conceal.
It is pretty expensive to shoot but its alot of fun.
Its fun trying to find something to shoot that it wont destroy.

My g20 is only 4.6 inch I believe.
The g40 should send a 10mm pretty good Id say.
The Buffalo gun center has the APX on sale for $469 and you can get the 5 free mags. It felt as good as anything in the hand and the trigger felt very good too. I havent shot one yet but will next week.
M&P 2.0 and vp9 is worth a look I have shoot both and like a lot.
I own Glocks but do believe there are many very good options.

I picked the m&p2.0 over the glock, as I liked the feel and trigger better. Every glock I've tried so far only feels "ok" to me. They are good, but just don't tickle my fancy. APX was on the short list as it felt good when held, but I never got to actually fire one.

6.02 barrel length. Thought about picking up a 7 or 7 1/2 inch barrel to try to get the most out of it.
That's a good deal .The spare mags are like 30-40 each.

You could buy it now and they'll hold it for you til your permit comes in. Beretta only cares that the gun was bought during the rebate period, not whether you took possession of it.
I did not know that. Interesting, I thought they wouldn't let me even touch then until I had .y permit.
Some counties and gun shops are like that (aka where I live the gun shop would not by any means do that for me, and yet other counties I guess require you to already have one purchased and waiting before completing the whole process .... well so I have been interwebs told)
Oh and might be a lot a bit late but have you looked at the FN 509?
It's on my list. I've narrowed down guns I am trying to learn more about and want to feel and/or shoot.
Keep in mind it will be my first pistol and I'm hoping for conceal (i put in for it) so ideally would like a compact size do everything. I would consider a single stack but leaning towards a compact double stack. (probably want to avoid a subcompact as I may not shoot/control them well yet with no experience)

I've tried to learn about the recent army MHS testing and the different entries for it (many are on my short list to consider)
I'm sure I'll knock a bunch off my list once I handle them or shoot them but I'm trying to approach this as open minded as possible and not go into my search with bias.

The g43 is a nice pistol, just bought one for my wife. She handled sig, m&p, glock and kimber, it came down to what she felt was the easier pistol to manipulate. It would be nice to be able to handle and fire the pistol you are interested in.
Cant go wrong with a P-07 (or any cz tbh) espfinally with some Cajun spice added..

My buddy picked up the APX today and I might get a chance to fire it tomorrow night, if so I will report my opinion for what ever its worth.
If concealment is a consideration keep a close eye on grip length, it makes a big difference when trying to conceal. Some of the pistols you listed might be tough to hide depending on the cloths you wear. Sometimes a quarter of an inch is a deal breaker.

See which one feels better and gives you a natural point of aim.
