yep .. seen some comments were old .. but what if i was that instructor carrying .. i'm 5'3 and a buck 40 ..

The perp going out to the car might have been going to retrieve a weapon. Not knowing the dialog going on is also a factor.
Ultimately when the ccw was backed into a corner, I saw the bottles as a wall of potential bludgeoning weapons.
Open carry? Good idea to have a good retention holster.

I'm not sure while open carrying with my gun pulled I would have let the much larger man come at me that many times. He showed restraint and that's good, but was he trying to grab the gun?
