Amsoil is getting into the firearm lubrication and cleaning bizz. Anyone try this stuff on a gun yet! I use to run Amsoil in my Goldwing. Never thought about using it on a gun. I use Mobil One on my race gun, but just a touch of regular 3-n-1 oil on my EDC firearms

I've never been much of a subscriber to the fancy oil stuff. I run motorcraft synthetic blend in everything I can, my 2 strokes use whatever brand of goop is on sale at the gas station, and I build race motors. They do just fine with it.

If I was building a 4 stroke race car engine it might be a different story, but generally, fancy oils are just a waste IMO.

I'm sure it's just a repackaged version of their synthetic motor oil just like Mobil One. Call it a "gun oil", put it in a tiny bottle and sell it for 1000 times the normal price. I'd stick with Mobil One.

I got a can of Royal Purple gun lube from a friend a month ago, seems like all the oil companies are jumping on the wagon.

Do your self a favor and stay away from using 3 in one on your firearms. It's plant based and breaks down over time, hence it getting sticky.
Otherwise I've found oil to be pretty much the same no matter what the brand.

That is interesting. I keep a small can in my range bag, mostly for emergency.

Got some Lucas gun oil, it works fine.

Not too much else to say about it though, firearm lubrication isn't nearly as demanding as internal combustion, and your guns will not last longer or shoot better with a super duper oil than they will with a merely adequate one. Adequate isn't hard to do for guns.

It's so cheap these days, I pour this on everything, by the gallon. Even salad, even ice cream! It just tastes sooooo good!
