I'm still looking for an ankle carry gun. I really wanted to stick with 9mm, but you guys have peaked my interest. What do you guys think a good option?
Another that came up was the stealthgear ventcore (Ruger LCP 2 Mini Ventcore® Holster). It looks tuckable but they don't specifically advertise it as such for some reason. Thanks for all your holster tips, btw, I got a Safariland for the Glock
I do sometimes. Like you said it doesn’t print.Anyone else consider carrying it owb? The LCP and II are so thin you could probably wear it owb and not print.
How many more rounds does it hold?Got my mag and reloading supplies today. Loaded up some lehigh defense projectiles for testing. It's amazing how much better that little bit of extension makes the grip feel.

Just 1.How many more rounds does it hold?
Damn. It looks like it can hold 2 more.Just 1.
I would hold on to the LCP. Unless a gun is really really bad I wouldn't ever get rid of it. It can only go up in value. Especially around election time. As far as the II... From everything I've seen comparing the 2 guns the trigger alone is worth getting the II. It's very crisp and predictable. The slide manipulation seems to be alot smoother easier as well. The slide release to me looks better than on the original and the sights are definitely better. Oh yeah. There is also last round hold open.I have a regular LCP but Ive wondered how the LCP II is comparably and am sorta thinking about maybe handling one and looking into an LCP II... but not sure I want to trade in my current LCP as its a TALO edition with silver medalion on it....may want to hold onto it and let it be my trailer queen gun.
Again I wonder if the LCP would be more comfortable as grip looks deeper..and the reg LCP snaps pretty good when shooting it......
I’ve looked at that and decided against it. I only paid $200 for my LCPII new and figured it can shoot it accurately now from 15-25 feet away. That’s pretty much my limit for that gun and the laws of NYS so I see no point in doubling the cost of the gun for some sights.
I can see the stock sights just fine as well. This might be a good option for those that maybe can't see them. Or anyone that wants a good night sight.I’ve looked at that and decided against it. I also painted the front sight with nail polish. It’s much easier to see at the range.
I will be doing this. Placed my name on the waiting list.
I used sparkly white nail polish. I swear it’s the wife’s and not mine.I like this idea. I know they sell the paint pens or whatever else they are, but this seems like a nice and quick idea. I might have to experiment w/ something like this at my Weds night class, see if having a more visible front sight helps placement on those targets better
Edit: just looked at my Shield vs my 1911. Shield has all 3 points in white, and the 1911 has an orange fiber sight added. I definitely notice the 45 a lot faster than I do the Shield. When it comes to targets where all you have to do is put the front sight on them and shoot, that could be a difference maker.
Can't wait to see it.I will be doing this. Placed my name on the waiting list.
Well let’s see how long they take to e-mail me to send it in. Kind of steep at 175 but it would make the little gun perfect for me.Can't wait to see it.
I think so, too. This gun is not one you're going to go to the range and shoot "for fun". I don't believe anybody using it in a defensive situation will use sights anyway. It's neat to be accurate on such a tiny gun but I doubt it has a practical use case.I was on their upgrade list last year as I considered the upgrade. When they finally emailed me I declined because it didn’t make sense to spend as much as a new LCP on sights. Figured I’d put the money toward ammo and range time. At the defensive distances you would use an LCP at it’s really a point and shoot.
Yeah. It’s pretty steep. The way I look at it however as far as the price goes is, “Would I pay $450 for a tiny, reliable carry gun that I can actually utilize the sights if I needed to compared to one with shitty sights at $275?” The answer would be yes.I was on their upgrade list last year as I considered the upgrade. I'd probably look at a different gun before dumping money into the LCP II. It's great for what it is, but I think you'd find the sig P238 a class above.Yeah. It’s pretty steep. Just because it’s a small gun, it doesn’t mean the sights can never come in handy. If my loved ones are ever tangling with a perp, I want sights even if the distance is 5 yards.
I hear you but not a fan of 1911 type guns. Don’t like exposed hammer, safeties, and beaver tails. They poke me in the gut carrying appendix. The LCP is still considerably thinner and the trigger is pretty damned good.I'd probably look at a different gun before dumping money into the LCP II. I recently picked up a couple of Kimbers,- Micro Raptors in .380 and 9mm. Both are stainless. I haven’t started looking hard for an ankle holster for either one yet, as I am carrying one or the other pocket carry for now. But I think either would be damn nice for ankle carry.I'm still looking for an ankle carry gun. I really wanted to stick with 9mm, but you guys have peaked my interest.
