I couldn't help but notice that she didn't pay attention to what was behind her target. Good thing she (a) hit her target and (b) the bullet didn't go straight through. Little kid and her mother directly in the line of fire.

I think that the angle of the camera makes it look like there are others in the line of fire, but I think that they may be too far to the right. At any rate, she's definitely a bad ass who waited for her opportunity and took it without hesitation. Nice follow up to take control of the gun and to make him roll onto his stomach. He's obviously in great pain but she makes him comply and holds him with her foot. Good outcome.

Entirely possible. It looked to me like there was definitely some overlap of positioning. And it's hard to tell exactly when the shot went off. As best I can tell, it was a few fractions of a second before the image I posted.
Either way, that's a shot I wouldn't take (if I had the presence of mind to look beyond the target in that high-stress situation).
