Thompson 6.5 creedmoor??

Ive seen the reviews for this rifle , seems it's quite a shooter. Sub MOA out of the box and only like 300 bucks , It has a cheesy stock , I don't know if I can get a wood stock for it, Anybody have any experience with these?

My dad has one in 308. Shoots good but the trigger is horrible, I think it was a 7lbs pull. I replaced his trigger spring last fall but we got busy and never shot it. After the trigger spring replacement, I think it was down to 3-4 lbs. The trigger is holding this rifle back

The compass has a weird trigger assembly. It has a counter balance weight, I guess TC has issues with the trigger going off or something. I forget now. The kit did improve trigger pull and no play in the trigger. One issue I had with the kit was sometimes the trigger feels like it doesn’t pull straight back but it doesn’t do that every time. It wasn’t hard to put the springs in, they have a installation video.

@holdover Boyds Stocks has them for long and short action .. detachable mag for each ..

i have 2 savages 223 and 270 .. both good shooters with the plastic stock .. the 223 i did fill the butt end with bondo to add some weight to it ..
the 270 is stock from factory .. but i do have a eye out to get a boyds stock for at least one .. i do like the "at-one" stock .. maybe add in a thumb hole ??

I have a 6.5 compass.

Shoots like 0.5" with gmm. With regular hunting ammo is about 1.25".

I have a Boyd's stock for it.


Buy it, and then spend just as much on the scope.

Just saw that TC has split the compass line.

A compass 2 with a accutrigger style trigger

A compass compact with a 16" barrel

A compass utility with the old trigger and no threaded muzzle.


I would jump all over a compass 2 with the better trigger.

You could try that spring kit up above. It made my fathers compass a lot better
