I use Federal 124 Grain 9mm, HST for carry and American Eagle for practice.
Manageable recoil, fast follow up shots. Carry an extra mag.
Practice, practice and practice, dry and live fire.
Drawing, presentation, trigger control and follow up shots.
Practice at both 7 and 15 yards, I favor 15 yards. I don't do much at 25 yards.
If you shoot someone at 25 yards you have a lot of explaining to do to the judge.
Set up 2 B8 targets, one at chest height and the other at head height.
Remember, it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
