Time for a new leather gun belt

It’s getting time to replace my faithful belt for many years it’s done a fantastic job.

I’m thinking about is getting a new leather belt with the steel core.

What are your opinions keep with the traditional heavy leather gun belt, or get the new belt with a Steel core?

I bought a Bigfoot belt with a steel core thinking I wanted to have the extra stiffness. It makes the belt extremely thick and in my opinion uncomfortable. I switched to a heavy duty Hanks belt and liked it much better before ditching leather all together. Currently use either a Blue Alpha or Wilderness Tactical EDC belt. Of those 2 I prefer the Blue Alpha mostly because it's a bit stiffer but they are both quality belts.

I bought a KORE belt about a year ago and it is by far the best carry belt I have ever used. I absolutely love the 1/4" adjustment. No more just a little too loose or a little too tight. I loved it so mich that I bought a second one in a different color. Buckles are chosen seperate from the belt itself. Stylish and comfortable.

I got a new Hanks belt (conventional-no steel core). It's ok, but the leather isn't as nice as my old Hanks belt.

As mentioned above, do yourself a favor and check out Kore Essentials. I have two of them and they both see heavy use. Everyone I know that has purchased them also has been happy with the product line.

I buy my belts from a guy who sets up at the larger gun shows in NYS. I've had the same belt for 3+ years and it's still in perfect shape. I think it might last me forever.
